A galeria Léo Bahia - Arte Contemporânea acolhe um conceito de divulgação da prática artística no território nacional, habilitando esta jovem produção ao conhecimento do mercado cultural contemporâneo.

Em seu espaço expositivo não existe apenas o compromisso formal da comercialização da produção artística, mas sobreudo uma possibilidade de experimentação
permitida ao artista,através da ocupação espacial, considerando assim uma análise mais ampla de sua produção, e isso, sempre dentro das diversas manifestações artísticas contemporâneas.
 
Com uma agenda de atividades que consta da apresentação individual de produções autorais de artistas, intercaladas com mostras coletivas, onde diversas mídias dialogam, o espaço da galeria funciona também para abrigar a discussão artística sobre forma de cursos, e na formação de novas coleções de arte contemporânea em nosso país, permitindo assim uma circulação maior da produção dos artistas, fomentando novos campos para pesquisa curatorial e estabelecendo uma forma mais democrática e correta de mecenato.
 

Como conseqüência desta gama de atividades, agenciamento de intercâmbios entre instituições e artistas representados pela galeria, estão se tornando constantes, promovendo desta forma,novos valores da cultura nacional, e revelando nossa qualidade pluricultural.
Sem pretensão, mas com uma noção renovada de valores para a fomentação artística contemporânea,

a galeria pretende estar sempre entre os necessários pontos difusores da produção de cultura nacional.

The Léo Bahia Gallery - Contemporary Art draws a concept of dissemination of artistic practice in all of Brazil, qualifying this young production to become known of the contemporary cultural market.

In its exhibition space there is not only the formal commitment to sell the artistic production, but above all, the possibility of experimentation permitted to the artist, through spatial occupation, giving a wider analysis of his/her production. And this always within the various contemporary artistic manifestations.

With an agenda of activities that includes the solo exhibitions of authorial productions of artists, interspersed with collective exhibitions
pn which different media have dialogue, the space of the gallery operates housing artistic discussion in the shape of courses and making up new collections of contemporary art in our country. In this way, it allows a greater circulation of the production of artists, encouraging new fields for curatorial research and establishing a more democratic and correct form of patronage.

As a result of this range of activities, the planning of exchanges between institutions and
artists represented by the gallery is becoming constant, in this way promoting new values in national culture and revealing our pluri-cultural quality.

Without pretension, but with a renewed idea of values to encourage contemporary art,
the gallery intends to be always among the essential points of dissemination of national cultural production.
